This website

This site has no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no forms. It is hosted by GitHub Pages, which records visitors' IP addresses in its server logs for security; see GitHub's privacy statement.

If you email us

We use what you send us to reply and, if you become a customer, to provide our service. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps to enter a contract with you. We keep emails for up to 2 years after our last contact, or longer if they form part of a customer's records. Our email is provided by Microsoft 365.

If you buy a licence

Purchases are made at quaverdesk.app. We keep your business name, email address and order details to issue and renew your licence key, and to keep business and tax records. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you and our legal obligations. We keep order records for 6 years after your subscription ends. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.

If you run Quaver Desk yourself

Self-hosted Quaver Desk runs on your own server. Your calls, recordings, voicemail and contacts stay there, and none of it is sent to us. When your system checks its licence, it sends us only the licence key (and, when you move up a band, the band you chose).

If we host Quaver Desk for you

On our hosted service, we hold your calls' data for you on our servers in the UK: phone numbers, call times and durations, voicemail, call recordings, transcripts and anything you upload. For that data your business is the controller and we are its processor: we only use it to provide the service, as set out in the data processing agreement in your contract. Calls to and from the phone network are connected by Twilio, and voicemail emails are sent through Microsoft 365. Your business is responsible for telling its callers and staff how it uses their data.

We are the controller of your account details (the names and email addresses of your users and your billing contact). We use them to run your account, support you, send service notices and bill you, because we need to for our contract with you. We keep them for the life of your account and 6 years after for our business records.

Who we share data with

We only share personal data with the providers named above, who act for us, and where the law requires it (for example a lawful request from the police). Where a provider handles data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy decisions or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We never sell personal data.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to someone else, by emailing sales@quaverdesk.co.uk. If your data is held on our hosted service for a business you deal with, please contact that business first; we will help them respond. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
